Frequently asked questions.

Are your sessions in person or virtual?

I see patients in-person in Stamford, CT.

I am licensed in New York and Connecticut, so I am able to provide services virtually to patients in both those states. I am also a PSYPACT provider, authorized to provide virtual services in participating states.

Do you accept insurance?

I am currently an “out-of-network provider.” This means that I do not accept insurance directly. However, I am able to provide documentation, known as a “Superbill,” for you to submit to your insurance company to seek reimbursement. You are responsible for payment of the full fee at the time of service.

If you are unsure of your out-of-network benefits, I recommend that you contact your insurance company to ask about the following:

  • Does my plan offer any out of network benefits for mental and behavioral health? (Note: The CPT codes I most frequently use include 90791, 90834, 90837)

  • Do I have a deductible and if so, has any of it been met yet?

  • Is there a difference in coverage for telehealth services?

  • How much will I get reimbursed per visit when I see an out of network mental and behavioral health provider?

  • Do I need prior approval or a referral in order to get reimbursed?

How do I know if we’ll be a good fit?

I am happy to offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation call, where you can share a bit about what you are looking for, and I can share more about my practice. The most important piece in your therapy journey is the therapeutic relationship — for therapy to be productive, your relationship with your therapist should feel supportive and trusting.

What can I expect for my first session?

Once your first session is booked, I will send you some paperwork through my patient portal, which may include asking you for some information that will help guide our first session. Our first session will be an evaluation focused on your reasons for seeking therapy, background information about you, and will work towards identifying goals and a treatment plan.

What is your cancellation policy?

Therapy appointments must be canceled or rescheduled 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment time. If an appointment is missed or canceled within the 24-hour time frame, you will be charged the full fee for the appointment. If you are late for a scheduled session, I will have to end the session at the regularly scheduled time to ensure timeliness for all patients.
